SYNOPSIS

The Jewish feast of Passover commemorates the Angel of Death, a name given to the infamous plague Moses unleashed on Egypt that caused all the firstborn of to die.  In modern day Afghanistan, a shepherd minding his flock thinks he’s heard thunder.  He's soon running for his life as missiles swoosh by and explode everywhere.  One missile hits a ravine hillside and cracks open a hole that might provide shelter.  He dove in. The fresh hole is deeper than he thought and he falls into an ancient sanctuary where he finds the legendary Methuselah's Pillar.  The shelling eventually causes a cave-in, but not before he escapes with a broken piece of the artifact. The pillar, according to a little known but actual legend, is a record of information given to Methuselah by his seven times great grandfather, Adam.  The Adam.  Coincidentally, Methuselah went on to become the oldest man who ever lived. Over nine hundred and sixty-nine years old. Practically immortal. According to the legend, this pillar was also possessed for a time by Moses, who coincidentally, delivered an entire slave nation called the Hebrews out of the hands of the most advanced and powerful army on earth, single-handed, with miracles.  Did some of this divine help come by way of the Garden of Eden?  Does the pillar contain information, secrets, that today’s scientists could find extremely helpful or deadly to humanity?
Months later, American forces are sniffing out terrorist cells in mountain crags.  A surveillance drone finds something that demands closer investigation.  Dead insurgents on a mountainside, lying in black dust.  When ground forces arrive for a closer look they find the black dust to be dead flies.  Inside a cave they find more of the same along with high tech scientific equipment and a broken off piece of an ancient artifact.  Tarik, the number one most wanted terrorist on the planet is not among the dead as hoped. The CIA finds the dynamic Samantha Conway (Sam), an expert in ancient writings.  Sam discovers the broken piece to be from Methuselah’s pillar. Did the terrorists actually unleash the infamous plague of flies on themselves while researching the artifact?  Or worse, did they discover the secret of the Angel of Death.  Sam finds herself in the middle of the CIA and insurgents as they race to find the rest of the pillar and translate its miraculous riddles of life, death, good and evil as the last and most deadly of Moses' plagues threatens to show its face again in Israel on Passover.
